Amy has turned this knowledge into a passion for coaching, and as Owner & Founder of Empowering You Consulting, she helps salons and spas across the nation every day.

With nearly 40 years of experience in the beauty industry mentoring, training and educating beauty professionals, not to mention 22 years as a Spa owner, Meg understands the challenges and the successes of running and growing a business. Leveraging her business experiences and life lessons as a business owner and lifelong student of the industry, Meg supports others in overcoming their fear of change and in achieving their business goals. Through instilling the value of strong communication skills and a positive attitude, she’s able to aid her clients in developing and accelerating the confidence and plans needed for success. She also strives to identify ways to generate new sources of revenue through powerful and creative solutions, leading to a profitable, fun and energetic business. Meg’s leadership foresight as a business owner, trainer and technician makes Meg more than a consultant; she’s a true mentor and coach.
Kim Gibson

The daughter of a salon-owner, Kim Gibson has the beauty industry in her blood, so it was no wonder she opened her own salon. It was also no wonder it felt like a ball and chain until she received coaching and revolutionized how she does business. After seeing the results Empowering You delivers – she experienced 75% growth in just one year – she joined Empowering You as a consultant. Now she works to show other salons the strategies and tips that resulted in her impressive growth. She and her husband are active with a number of churches in her area and launched Embrace, a Christ-centered nonprofit that mentors young people.
Ashley Mitchell

Ashley is a salon owner from Houston Texas that has a keen passion for the beauty industry. Ashley has been in the salon industry for 20 years and has had an exceptional career behind the chair. She has a heart of gold and a contagious smile that both exudes and attracts beauty. Being the product of entrepreneurial parents, Ashley decided she would take the leap of faith at the age of 20 and has not looked back since. In 2019 she made the transition from suite owner to salon owner just in time for a pandemic! With support and determination, Ashley was able to grow her salon revenue by 106% during Covid while she was forced to watch people around her close the doors to their businesses for good. Having the opportunity and community in a time of need ignited and fueled an even greater agenda. In 2021, at the height of her career, Ashley decided to join Empowering You Consulting to become a business coach and consultant. Running such parallel careers has given Ashley the insight and relatability it takes to fully support and push owners to see their maximum potential!
David Wenzel

David Wenzel is a successful entrepreneur and consultant who has made a name for himself in his community. After spending 10 years in banking, David’s mother suggested that he turn to cosmetology. He took her advice and eventually opened his dream salon. Through his hard work and dedication, he learned the importance of hiring a consultant to help him grow his company. David’s salon quickly became a success and was recently named 2023 Best of Southwest Missouri’s Best Hair Salon. However, he knew that this was just the beginning. David has since ventured into consulting, where he is passionate about helping other salon and spa owners grow and develop their businesses to be the thriving companies they envisioned. David’s experience in the beauty industry has taught him the importance of having a strong team and investing in the right tools and resources. He brings this knowledge to his consulting work, helping others to become the leaders they can be and take their companies to the next level. Overall, David Wenzel is a driven and successful entrepreneur who is dedicated to helping others succeed in the beauty industry.
