Salons and spas across America are opening up right now and are struggling to make ends meet. After being closed for so long, small business owners are getting hit the hardest… and if you’re one of them, you may be wondering what kind of ways you can ramp up profit.
Now, more than ever, people are desperate to get their hair/nails/spa services done and are turning to Instagram to discover new salons that can accommodate them.
Ask yourself these two questions:
Is your social media selling you and your services to your clients?
Does your social media attract your ideal clients?
Good Instagram Content is Key
Now is not the time to be silent. Right now, people want to see pictures of your work! Posting pictures of your latest and greatest needs to be bright, clear, and beautiful. Quality is key for Instagram posts (don’t forget good lighting!).
People love seeing beautiful pictures of a great atmosphere. Another thing to post are some aesthetically pleasing images of the interior and exterior of your business. Make them want to experience it. Share pictures of your products (neatly arranged) and let clients know what they can take home.
Post videos and photos of your team. This creates a personal feel and warmth that will make the client feel connected to you.
Use Instagram stories as a behind-the-scenes lens that makes you and your team relatable. Instagram stories are great for day to day activities and promotions that you put on inside of your business.
Procedures
Safety should be everyone’s main priority right now. Your Instagram viewers want to know that they will be taken care of when they walk into your doors. Share with them all of the safety measures you are implementing during this time. Make the post easy to read and something that looks professional. One site you can use is Canva for free templates.
Testimonials
We all love to read reviews before we check out new restaurants, so why wouldn’t potential clients read your reviews before they choose to go to you? When you get a good review, show it off! Create a pretty graphic of the review you got and post it to your Instagram.
Promotions
Promotions should always be advertised on your Instagram. Right now, promotions may look a little different post-quarantine, so try experimenting with new specials that will fit potential clients’ needs right now. When posting a promotion, always post the call to action (ie. Book Your Appointment Now at (555) 555-5555 in the caption so it makes it easy for the client.
Run an Ad
This is one of the top ways to get your ideal clients in your door. Running an ad on Instagram allows you to target to a certain demographic and really boost engagement on your page. Make sure the ad you choose is eye-catching and gives that WOW factor. You are basically paying for people to see your page, so make sure it’s great.
