Let’s face it, we as salon owners and stylists know what it’s like to wear many hats!
One of those hats happens to be marketing. Marketing can be hard sometimes because it’s ever-changing and there’s always something new to learn about it.
Believe it or not, marketing can actually be fun and easy and STILL increase your bottom line.
Watch this video and learn 4 steps to easy marketing promotions:
If you don’t prioritize marketing your business, it doesn’t take long to fall behind.
Here are 4 steps to ensure your promotions will bring in more traffic through the door and keep current clients wanting more:
1. Determine what action you want your clients to take
What would you like to see increase in your business? Do you want higher rebooking rates? Do you want to sell more retail? How about increasing reviews on Google? Whatever it may be, figuring out what areas you need to improve on in your business is the first step in molding the perfect promotion.
2. Look for opportunities inside and outside your business
Did you just launch a new service or product? Have you hired any new stylists or technicians? This is a great chance to promote them and create special promotions for first time guests and existing clients. Also, look at what’s going on outside of your business. Are there any holidays coming up? Are the seasons changing? These are perfect opportunities for themed promotions that increase traffic through your door.
3. Determine what type of promotion works for your clients
Do your clients respond more to a free gift with purchase? How about money off a service? Maybe they would rather rack of loyalty points. There are several different types of promotions that you can use but trying them out and seeing which one gets the most buzz is the best way to decipher.
4. Get the word out
There are many ways to get the word out about your promotions but knowing what works in your area is vital. Social media isn’t going anywhere so utilizing that is definitely a must. Having a good software to track your results is something worth investing in. It lets you know what’s working and what’s not.
Once you follow these 4 simple steps, the stress of marketing will be a thing of the past. Creating staff incentives throughout the process makes for more excitement in your salon and increases your bottom line.
