Have you Googled your business to see where you pop up?

Where do you show up? Page 1? Page 2? Page 10?

If you’re not on the first page, you’re leaving lots of money on the table!

We live in a world where instant gratification is a must. When we Google to find something, we want it fast and we want it now. No one is going to choose to go to a salon or spa that is on page 10! Chances are, they won’t even know it exists.

But, let’s be real, we’re business owners not marketing specialists!

That’s why we’re sharing 6 proven ways to get your business on the first page of Google, without the confusion and stress of the Internet.

Watch this video and learn 6 easy steps on how to outrank your competition on Google:

Step 1: Create Your Google My Business Page “GMB”

Think of this as another social media platform. This is the page that lets you stay up-to-date with your business info, upload pictures, and even post promotions. If you don’t have this page, you are not visible on Google so make sure this is created and up-to-date!

Step 2: Your Reviews

Asking for reviews is something every business owner and their employees should be doing. This is how people judge whether or not they trust you. It’s also important to respond to every review; good or bad. This is an opportunity to thank your guests or to make a bad experience that they’ve had into a good one.

Step 3: Check your Name, Address, and Phone number (NAP)

This step is to ensure that your NAP is the same on all platforms. Meaning, if you’ve changed your name, moved locations, or changed phone numbers, that it’s all updated on the Internet. Note that this information has to be written EXACTLY the same in order for clients to find you and for Google to recognize you.

Step 4: Get Citations

Basically, this is a website link for your business posted on a website that is not yours in order to direct more traffic to your site. When Google recognizes that your business is registered under business directory sites such as yelp.com, whitepages.com, or angieslist.com, this proves that your business is legit so Google will boost your ranking.

Step 5: Your Website SEO Description

First question: do you have a website? If the answer is no, get one! This is vital in order to get ranked on Google. If you do have one, edit your SEO description to explain what you offer, where you’re located, and list out any accomplishments so that potential clients can see what you’re all about. Make sure you also include key words of what you specialize in and plant them in your description.

Step 6: Questions & Answers

Utilize the question and answer feature on Google My Business Page and plug in questions with key words for services you specialize in so that when potential clients search those words, you have a better chance of showing up! Simple and easy way to make your business stand out.

After following these six steps, you will see a dramatic change in not only where you show up on Google, but the amount of new clients flooding in the door because of it!
