At a time like this, it’s easy to be sucked into feeling scared, unsure, and overwhelmed with what’s going on in the world. Don’t be fooled into always being fearful. This is often something that we create in our heads!

False Evidence Appearing Real

It is time to reset your mind and get refocused! We can CHOOSE positivity over fear.

Let’s get out of our heads and reset how we think. One way to do this is to set an intention each day. Setting intention can set the tone for the day. It can improve our beliefs in ourselves and what we can accomplish.

“Our intention creates our reality.” – Wayne Dyer

Here are some best practices on how to set intention:

1.) Create a Mantra

This is a powerful saying that you choose for yourself to live by every day. Think about what it is that you really want and then create a mantra that takes away all of those blockages that are in your way of getting it. Write it down, stick it on your mirror, and repeat it to yourself every day!

2.) Share Your Intention with a Friend

When you share something with someone out loud, it becomes real; it’s no longer an idea in your head that can go away. Ask your friend for their support on keeping you accountable, there’s nothing more motivating than wanting to share your successes with the person that helped you along the way!

3.) Share Your Intention with Yourself

Sharing what you want with yourself is hard for us sometimes. We like to keep our thoughts in our heads because, again, it doesn’t make them real until you say it out loud. Say it with confidence and phrase it in a way like it’s already happening.

4.) Create a Ritual

It’s known that having a ritual is a great way to stay productive. When you get up in the morning you have your daily ritual that you do to get your day started. Once you have set your intention, incorporate it into your morning ritual as a way of setting the tone for the rest of your day.

5.) Meditate

Meditation is an old practice that is so powerful in the way that it eases our mind and rids it of stress and anxiety. Meditation can be used in some many ways. Why not incorporate it into your daily routine? This can be a way to direct your energy and focus to your goals and your intention that you set for yourself.

6.) Practice Gratitude

It’s easy for us to talk about what is going wrong in our lives but it’s so important to remember to state what you grateful for. Take a situation that you don’t possibly think you can be grateful for and turn it around and list all of the little things that you are grateful for. This will help open your perspective and help you become naturally a more optimistic person.

7.) Ask for What You Want, Then Let It Go

This is a great practice to put into your daily ritual as well. Ask for what you want, really vision it, engulf your mind with it, then resist the urge to control everything in your day for it to happen. Trust that it will happen on its own, trusting the universe to take over.

8.) Remind Yourself Daily

If you haven’t noticed yet, there’s a theme here. It’s constantly practicing repetition and telling yourself constantly what it is you want. Creating this habit tells your brain that it’s a real thing!

9.) Consider How You’ll Feel

Picture yourself after it’s done and how great you will feel. Envision your life after you’ve accomplished your goal and how you will reward yourself.

10. Write it Down the Night Before

Before bed, grab your journal and be very specific on what you want and how your life will look after it’s over! Read it back to yourself and get clarity on what your big goals are that will set the tone for the next day.

Taking on these steps will empower you to become more organized, clear on what you need to do every day to stay on track, and help you choose positivity over fear.
